UK Quad cinema poster for the Swiss film "Jonah Who Will Be 25 In The Year 2000" (1976).

Though heralding from the 1976 release of the film, this poster design has a contemporary feel, the design by "X3 Posters" (a number of their similar poster designs reside in the collection of the V&A museum). This Swiss made film by Alain Tanner, explored the dawning realisation of a group of 1960's radical idealists that the real world of the 1970's was more complex & challenging than they had hoped & expected. A well regarded intelligent film graced with an attractive & idiosyncratic poster design.

This silkscreened poster is rare. Foreign films, especially when sub-titled, were not widely shown in the UK in the 1970's. Moreover, "Jonah.." was not submitted for general release certification, meaning that the "cert X" refers to a GLC sanctioned release only, the film being played at a limited number of art-house cinemas in London only. The print run for this title is likely to have been several hundred only.

The poster has light creases & normal fold-lines but overall remains in excellent condition.
