Late Night Horror Films Poster
Original silkscreen event poster (15"x 20") for late night presentation of horror films by the Bradford Union Film Society on 29th June 1976.This horror fest comprised screenings of
"The Legend of Hell House" (1973),
"It's Alive" (1974) (misspelt as "It's Live") & Hammer's
"The Satanic Rites of Dracula" (1973). The poster presents some suitably ghoulish depictions, the elemental red/black design underlinning the threat of horror & violence. Not sure the Bradford Uni students who sat through all three films would have been very productive the next day!
This is a rare poster. Student Uni events did not require much marketing (the audience was "captive") & the silkscreen print denotes a low print run.
The chances of these kind of posters surviving were slim & this could possibly be the only one left in existence. The poster is unfolded,
in excellent condition (small 1/2" nick to right rim)
& an attractive striking design too. A great piece for any fans of 1970's horror & any followers of any of these particular horror films too.
