Lucky Lady Poster

US 1-Sheet linen-backed movie poster for the comedy "Lucky Lady" (1975).

Starring Gene Hackman, Burt Reynolds & Liza Minnelli, this was a prohibition era romp interspersed with scenes of violence. The poster artwork is by the American artist Richard Amsel (1947-85). Amsel was a child prodigy & an enormously creative artist with a very distinctive style. His life was cut short but Amsel amassed an impressive back catalogue of work. Three US 1-sheets were used to promote "Lucky Lady", the Style-A poster providing an excellent example of Amsel's artistry.

Poster folded prior to backing with sensitive touch-ins to foldlines & presents in excellent condition (map chest 7).
