Night Of The Hunter Poster

A 2012 licensed screenprint Mondo Poster (24"x 36") for "The Night Of The Hunter" (1955) with artwork by Phantom City Creative.

This hand-numbered screenprint poster was issued as a limited edition of just 170. This poster sold out on release & is not often seen in the market now. The poster presented was specifically created for a cinema screening of this classic film-noir on 12th June 2012 at the Alamo Drafthouse cinema in Austin, Texas. Phantom City Creative deliver a fabulously eerie image of Robert Mitchum as the demonic preacher!

This poster is in good condition. There is a small area of staining to the bottom rim (please see the image attached). This is only apparent on close-up viewing but unlike the majority of other Mondo/AMP oposters were are offering, this poster is not excellent/near mint. The poster will be sent rolled with protective paper in a sturdy tube. This is a scarce poster which has been priced in accordance with condition & will NOT be discounted.

The Mondo & associated Alternative Movie Poster (AMP) movement began in the early 2000's & represents a rejection of the "modern" photo-based design method of producing cinema posters. Mondos & AMP's are cinema posters created as art pieces. Generally these have not been made for film marketing purposes but instead are artistic re-interpretations of both classic vintage films & modern movies. Mondo/AMP posters are exceptionally high quality prints, released in strictly limited numbers (invariably sold out on release) & become instant collectables.
