Poor Cow Poster

A fascinating UK 1-Sheet poster for the classic British "kitchen sink" drama "Poor Cow" (1968), here carrying a preliminary title of "No Tears For Joy".

It appears as if the "No Tears For Joy" variant was printed with a view to being used in the N. American export market (presumably the thought was the Americans would not understand the term "Poor Cow"). However, the film was eventually released in the US with the "Poor Cow" title - see the US 1-Sheet poster below (image courtesy of emovieposter) making this an intriguing piece of "Poor Cow" memorabilia. Interestingly, although the "No Tears.." UK 1-Sheet export variant features exactly the same artwork as the "Poor Cow" UK 1-Sheet (image courtesy of emovieposter), the film title on "No Tears...." has been amended to give the impression that the waterfall is washing it away.

Poster is in superb condition & looks to have been unused.
