Return Of The Jedi Poster

Rare UK "Printer's Proof" Quad cinema poster (31"x 41") for "The Return Of The Jedi" (1983) with Josh Kirby poster illustration.

This poster is a rare "Printer's Proof" measuring a full inch wider & higher than the conventional Quad poster. It has white un-trimmed borders to three of the four rims & printer's guidelines in each corner. It has never been machine-folded & has just a single vertical foldline. A rare piece for any Star Wars "completist".

At one time "...Jedi" was the "concluding" part of the "Star Wars" trilogy. The film featured a memorable battle against the disgusting "Jabba The Hutt" and a climactic finale with "Darth Vader". This is the second of two designs used to promote the film. The first design (https://www.moviepostermem.com/Return-Of-The-Jedi-Poster/62429) was less colourful & artist Josh Kirby was asked to embellish his original design as here. However, both posters were used in the original release of the film & this second version is NOT a re-release poster (we also have a conventional Quad for this title too: https://www.moviepostermem.com/Return-Of-The-Jedi-Poster/62387).

Poster over-sized, with a single fold, minor fraying to upper/lower borders but in totally original condition with no restoration at all. At the time of listing we could not find another Printer's Proof for this particular Jedi but as a sign of relative value, we found two Proof Quads for the less colourful first print Jedi Quad, both priced at £1,700 approx.
