She's So Giallo

Original Graham Humphreys painted artwork for a limited edition poster to promote the Barbican presentation of "She’s So Giallo: Women of 1970s Italian Thrillers", held June 2016.

This examination of the Italian phenomenon of "Giallo" 1970's cinema was designed as a reappraisal of the role of women in the genre & focused on the likes of Mimsy Farmer, Edwige Fenech, Dagmar Lassander etc. As the printed poster shows, Humphreys artwork forms the key element in the design, his light purple hues contrasting strikingly with the yellow background of the poster. A lovely piece of artwork for an important genre in the canon of world cinema.
