Silence of the Lambs Poster

A 2021 gallery licenced Alternative Movie poster (24"x 36") for "Silence Of The Lambs" (1991).

This is the strictly limited & numbered "Night Vision" variant of which only 125 were printed, the artwork by Greg Ruth. Rather than focus on the obvious (Anthony Hopkins as "Hannibal Lecter") Ruth has turned his attention to "Clarice" (Jodie Foster) to excellent effect. Unlike vintage cinema posters which were printed purely for advertising purposes, Mondo/AMP posters are printed as fine art collectables. Printing technology has obviously advanced since the 1960's-70's & these modern posters are printed to exceptionally high standards. A range of quality art papers are used & various specialised ink finishes can be applied (in this case a "glow in the dark" ink has been employed). This poster has no discernible faults & is as close to mint as you will find (we handle these posters with proper conservation quality gloves in order to keep them as pristine as possible). The poster will be sent rolled with protective paper in a sturdy tube. This is a scarce poster & will NOT be discounted.

The Mondo & associated Alternative Movie Poster (AMP) movement began in the early 2000's & represents a rejection of the "modern" photo-based design method of producing cinema posters. Mondos & AMP's are cinema posters created as art pieces. Generally these have not been made for film marketing purposes but instead are artistic re-interpretations of both classic vintage films & modern movies. Mondo/AMP posters are exceptionally high quality prints, released in strictly limited numbers (invariably sold out on release) & become instant collectables.
