Star Wars Poster

Scarce un-trimmed triple-bill poster for "Star Wars" (1977), "The Empire Strikes Back" (1980) & "The Return of The Jedi" (1983).

A terrific piece of Star Wars memorabilia containing artistic elements from the initial trilogy of Star Wars films (ie, Tom Chantrell, Tom Jung & Josh Kirby respectively). This triple-bill was offered shortly after the UK release of "The Return of The Jedi" (2nd June 1983). The idea was to capitalise on the popularity of the earlier two films & provide die-hard fans with a marathon treat - those willing & able had access to the triple-bill in select cinemas from 30th July 1983. As only the largest cinemas could offer this special package, the print run for these posters was relatively small (this triple-bill is also far rarer than the earlier "Star Wars"/"Empire Strikes Back" double-bill poster - we have an example of the double-bill Quad currently available too: https://www.moviepostermem.com/Star-Wars-The-Empire-Strikes-Back-Poster/62389

Please note that this triple-bill poster remains full-sized & un-trimmed. A large portion of these triple-bill posters were used in London at the time when London Transport customarily trimmed their posters down from 30"x 40" to 27"x 40". The trimmed posters are sometimes represented as being "special": they are in the sense that they are mutilated posters (only 90% of the original print). The trimmed examples usually crop the top of Darth Vader's helmet.
