Street Corner Poster

Rare UK Quad poster for the British crime-drama "Street Corner" (1953) with impressive poster artwork by Eric Pulford.

Shot at Pinewood & in & around London, the film focused (unusually) on the role of women in the police force (the film obviously influenced by Ealing's "The Blue Lamp" (1950). The fabulous Pulford poster depiction provides an early example of the artist's work (Pulford was to rise to art director at the ad agency Downton & was responsible for recruiting artists such as Renato Fratini & Arnaldo Putzu to come & work from London).

Apart from the strong lead cast the film provided smaller roles for an eclectic range of British acting talent including Barbara Murray, Michael Medwin, Michael Hordern, Dora Bryan, Maurice Denham, Dandy Nichols, Ronnie Corbett & future "Bond Girl" Eunice Gayson.

Poster folded with minor crossfold wear & a few light marks but otherwise in excellent un-restored condition (NO Photoshop enhancement used on the images). A rare British Quad & a film with bags of interest.

NB. A supplementary P&P charge will be required for overseas buyers.
