UK Quad poster for "The Black Tent" (1956).

A sumptuous piece of poster illustration for this 1956 wartime drama set in the N. African desert. The film was beautifully shot (on location in Libya) & the artist has conveyed a sense of the colourful & exotic through the poster design. Being a Rank film, this poster was created by the Downton studio & though the poster has an Italian "look" it was actually painted by Eric Pulford (obviously heavily influenced by the Italian work he was commissioning at the time).

Poster with scattered pin-holes & light foldline wear. Overall in very good condition & displays to great effect.
