The Living Daylights Poster
Scarce UK Double-Crown unfolded cinema poster for the debut Timothy Dalton Bondfilm "The Living Daylights" (1987) with captivating poster artwork by Brian Bysouth.
As well documented elsewhere, this was the final Bond poster to use a traditional painted artwork design prior to the shift to photographic compositions. As such, this Bysouth artwork has become much sought after & prices for the Bysouth Quad have rocketed in recent years (we currently have this example available: https://www.moviepostermem.com/The-Living-Daylights-Poster/62601). Double-Crown posters were printed in much smaller quantities than the equivalent Quads & are therefore scarcer than the Quads. It is also worth noting that a slew of larger UK 1-sheets for this Bysouth title have recently come onto the market (emovieposter alone have sold eleven UK 1-Sheets since 2020 & 34 since 2004 but they have never sold a Double-Crown like this one!). Double-Crowns are also smaller than both the Quad & UK 1-Sheet posters & are therefore cheaper to frame & display than the Quads & UK 1-Sheets.
Poster unfolded & rolled, looks never to have been used & is in superb condition.
