UK Quad silk-screened poster for the Swedish crime-drama by Bo Widerberg "The Man On The Roof" (1976).

This poster presents the highly distinctive artwork by Peter Strausfield & was a bespoke poster created specially for the arts cinema, The Academy, in London. The print run for this poster would have been small. Strausfield was a German emigre who worked as the in-house poster designer for The Academy 1947-80. Strausfield's posters were based on woodcut or linocut designs & are characteristically stark but extremely effective.

Poster lightly folded but subsequently rolled with a single 2 1/2" conservation tape repair to reverse of left mid-rim. Overall in very good condition & an unusually bright, colourful Strausfield poster.
