The Sound Of Music Poster

UK Quad cinema poster for a special "Singalong" screening of the Julie Andrews musical "The Sound of Music" (1965) the poster utilising elements of the Howard Terpning artwork from the original advertising campaign.

This is a scarce poster (printed only single-sided). This "Singalong" event involves one night screenings of the classic musical with sub-titles to enable the audience to participate in the songs & "Boo the Nazis" etc (apparently some people also "dress up" appropriately). These screenings are obviously quite special events & to date we believe ten such events have been held in the UK in different venues 2017-21 & that this poster dates from 2017. According to this particular poster "The Times" was the key sponsor.

A real curio of a cinema poster & something for both fans of the obscure & "Sound of Music" collectors alike. If interested we curently have an original Quad poster from the 1965 release available too: https://www.moviepostermem.com/The-Sound-Of-Music-Poster/61195

Poster unfolded, single-sided, rolled with some light creasing/edge nicks & overall in good condition. An unusual poster & a scarce one too. A fitting memento to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the film!
