The Sound Of Music Poster

UK Quad cinema poster for one of the most famous musicals of all time, "The Sound Of Music" (1965).

This was a true "blockbuster" garnering a total of ten Oscar nominations, winning five including "Best Picture". The poster illustration was by Howard Terpning, the Quad re-formatting Terpning's artwork for the American poster campaign. This is a poster that has become increasingly difficult to find in recent years & this example is the first release version (beware the various re-releases which are sometimes offered without full disclosure).

Poster in very good folded condition, some light creaseing & a few tiny (1/8") edge nicks (conservation tape repaired) & a scarce un-restored un-backed example.
