Tickle Me Poster

UK Quad cinema poster (30"x 40") for the Elvis Presley movie "Tickle Me" (1965) with poster illustration by Tom Chantrell.

An important part of the Elvis Presley "bandwagon" was his appearances on the Big Screen: Elvis acted in 31 films 1956-69, plus there were two documentaries featuring him released as well. "Tickle Me" was one of three Elvis films released in '65 & pitched Elvis as a singing rodeo rider!

Tom Chantrell illustrated several Quads for Elvis films including this "Tickle Me" poster. Chantrell's name is often proffered for any particularly colourful poster but many attributions are erroneous. However, the early Chantrell poster for "Love Me Tender" (1956) is interesting (see our sister website: https://www.chantrellposter.com/Love-Me-Tender-Quad-Poster-Original/249) as it is clear that Chantrell has used this photographic image as a basis for his illustration for "Tickle Me".

Poster in excellent folded condition. Not a particularly common Elvis poster to find.
