The Young And The Cool Poster

UK Quad cinema poster for the American comedy-musical "The Young & The Cool" (1961) aka "Twist All Night" & "The Continental Twist".

This "Twist" bandwagon vehicle starred British actress June Wilkinson. As both the Quad & the corresponding US 1-Sheet posters show (1-Sheet image courtesy of emovieposter) Ms Wilkinson's curvy physique was deemed to be amply sufficient alone to market the film. Having been whisked to America by Hugh Hefner & featuring in "Playboy" magazine several times (1958-60), Wilkinson moved into films, making a number during the early 1960's, this Quad being a particularly attractive example. Other British actresses found success in Hollywood during the 1950's-60's (Diana Dors & Joan Collins being two other notable examples) but June Wilkinson is one of the lesser-known who deserves credit for breaking into Hollywood in her own way.

Poster folded with pin-holes to corners/rim but overall in very good condition & a scarce & interesting Quad title.
