Vargas Esquire Calendar Pin-Up Poster

Not a poster but an original Vargas Esquire calendar for 1946 (all 12 months in situ - each page 8 1/2"x 12").

Alberto Vargas (1896-1982) was arguably America's most famous 20th century pin-up artist being particularly known for his work for Esquire in the 1940-46 & then subsequently for his work for Playboy magazine 1959-75. Vargas' style of illustration inspired much of the nose cone artwork that appeared on USAF aircraft in WWII. These Esquire calendar pages are present tasteful images & area testament to 1940's style & fashion. They can be mounted & framed to great effect.

The calendar has become detached from its original card back but this is still present. There is a very faint crease to left bottom corner of all but otherwise all pages are in excellent condition. The calendar will not be split but is sold as one.
