A Clockwork Orange Poster

A really interesting piece of original "A Clockwork Orange" (1971) memorabilia, this being a large full-page ad (11"x 17 1/2") for the film in an edition of the Los Angeles Free Press underground counter-culture magazine, Vol 8 #50, 17th Dec 1971 (the whole two-section 48-page magazine is being sold)

The ad shows a notorious scene being filmed with Stanley Kubrick pictured with a hand-held camera. It is highly unlikely that any mainstream cinema magazine in either the US or UK would have published a shot like this, denoting the radical anti-establishment nature of the LA Free Press. The ad also provides a roll-call of previous Kubrick successes including "2001 A Space Oyssey" (1968), "Dr Strangelove" (1964), "Lolita" (1962) & "Paths of Glory" (1957).
