Beau James Poster

UK Quad cinema poster for the Bob Hope film "Beau James" (1957).

This was one of only two dramatic roles Bob Hope attempted during his career. Here he played the popular though corrupt Mayor of New York (1926-32) Jimmy Walker. Although far better known as a comedian, the film demonstrated that Hope had some acting range. This was the last film Hope made for Paramount after a 20-year association. Like most Paramount films the UK Quad was adapted from the American artwork.

Poster folded with a couple of light marks, pin-holes/creases to corners & overall in very good condition. For an idea of relative value, at the time of listing a similar example of this Quad was on offer at £280.
