Carry On Cabby Poster

Original b/w photo (8"x 10") taken inside a Cleethorpes/Grimsby cinema showing a Vesper scooter in a bespoke tie-in display with the comedy "Carry On Cabby" (1963).

The display features a Vesper scooter on a stand with an associated "Carry on Cabby" poster on an easel to the right showing various girls from the film posing on Vespers. Propped up next to the scooter are details of the local Vesper distributor. This impromptu display with a local retailer was a fairly common example of the commercial tie-ins that cinema managers would organise with local retailers 1950's-70's. A really interesting piece of "Carry On" memorabilia.
