Carry On Cowboy Poster

UK 1-Sheet cinema poster for "Carry On Cowboy" (1965) with poster artwork by Tom Chantrell.

One of the most collectable Carry On titles & a favourite Chantrell poster too. Chantrell created three different designs for this film: Style-A & Style-B Quads & this 1-Sheet too. The 1-Sheet is arguably the best of the three (though considerably cheaper than the Quads). The composition shows the key characters in their western gear, the humourous depictions being so good that at first glance they look like photos. The colours are eye-catchingly gorgeous (NO Photoshop enhancement used here!) & Chantrell presents the title text in an evocative western style too.

Poster folded (as issued). There is a small patch of paper loss to bottom rim & some fraying here (stabilised with conservation tape to the reverse). There are two small repairs to edge nicks too (longest 1/2"). The poster has not been linen-backed & therefore has escaped the over-painting that often occurs with backing. A really attractive Carry On poster.
