Fury

Original concept artwork (22"x 32") for the Quad poster for "Fury" aka "One Russian Summer" (1973), here showing the preliminary title of "Fury Rides The Wind". Starring Oliver Reed and Claudia Cardinale, the film was a drama set in pre-revolutionary Russia. This design was unused & the final printed Quad featured Putzu artwork instead.

 

Artwork is painted watercolour and ink drawing on layout paper laid to Legion artboard.The Clausia Cardinale pen illustration is a cut-out presumably replacing an earlier version. Small area of paper loss to layout paper in top right corner.
