Finished Chantrell Quad poster "artwork" (15 1/2"x 19") for the UK Quad for the Brazilian erotic drama "Giselle" (1980).We show images both with & without the acetate overlay. The background seascape is a photographic image. Pasted on top is the suggestive image of the woman. Although this piece was originally painted artwork, the pasted image is a photo of the artwork which has subsequently been touched in with delicate hand painted tints. Chantrell was paid a total of £200 for the rough & finished art for this poster, the relatively low sum reflecting the heavy reliance of photographic imagery in the design. The print run for the Quad was only 1,000.
