I Don't Want To Be Born

Vic Fair original concept artwork (14 1/2"x 19") for the British horror film "I Don't Want To Be Born" (1976) starring Joan Collins, Donald Pleasence etc.

This fabulously creepy design is executed in pen & ink on paper. The work in progress carries Fair's annotations & instructions to the printer. Fair was obviously pleased with the design as he signed the piece bottom right. This concept appears on both the UK 1-Sheet & US 1-Sheet posters (see images attached for reference - images courtesy of emovieposter). We have not seen a stand-alone Quad for this title but this film was issued as part of a double-bill with "The Ghoul" (1975) but a different illustration was used for this. This piece will be sent rolled in a tube. A wonderful example of Fair's creative genius.
