Ludwig Poster

Scarce UK Quad unfolded cinema poster for the Luchino Visconti historical drama "Ludwig" (1973) the poster coming from the personal collection of the artist responsible for the illustration, Tom Beauvais (a signed letter of authenticity will accompany this piece).

An interesting poster design for this European co-production which is seldom seen in the market

Tom Beauvais worked closely with Tom Chantrell at the Allardyce ad agency before setting up his own business, "Chapman-Beauvais" in 1975. Among the vast roster of posters Beauvais created were "Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid (1969), "Fantastic Voyage" (1966), Mad Max (1979) & Zombie Flesh Eaters" (1980).

Poster in scarce unfolded condition but has paper loss, several large tears, tape stains, creasing etc. Poster priced in accordance with condition (this & the other posters we're selling from the Beauvais collection were previously affixed to polyboard for lectures which the artist gave early in his retirement).
