Room At The Top Poster

An original script (100+ pages) for the highly regarded British drama "Room At The Top" (1958) starring Laurence Harvey & Simone Signoret, this script being the personal copy of the Scottish scriptwriter Neil Paterson.

Paterson gifted this script to a friend & has written an inscription & signed the first page (this with the typed date "December 1958" & the handwritten date "13/1/59"). "Room At The Top" was critically acclaimed being awarded six Oscar nominations & winning Oscars for Best Actress & Best Screenplay for Neil Paterson! It was seen as being one of the first of the British "kitchen sink" genre of films. Not only was the film critically lauded but it was a box-office hit too, being the third highest grossing film in the UK in 1959. The script is sold together with a letter of provenance from the daughter of the man it was gifted to, plus two newspaper articles about Neil Paterson.
