Rosie Dixon Night Nurse

Vic Fair finished artwork (14"x 22") for the UK video release of the sex-comedy "Rosie Dixon Night Nurse" (1977) this dating from 1986.

The film typified much of the product released from the British film industry in the 1970's featuring a series of well-known British comic actors (in this case John Le Mesurier, Arthur Askey, Beryl Reid, Liz Fraser etc) together with some glamorous ladies in various states of undress (Debbie & Leslie Ash, Carolyne Argyle etc). Whilst this was certainly not high-brow fare, many of these films were popular at the box-office & allowed many actors to survive in difficult times. Artist Vic Fair essentially re-cycled his artwork from his Quad poster design (see attached for comparison image courtesy of emovieposter) & we also show an image of the VHS cover for reference too.

The artwork is all painted on card affixed to artboard with acryllic & paper overlays.
