Vargas Esquire Calendar Pin-Up Poster

Not a poster but an original Vargas calendar pin-up page (9"x 12") from Esquire magazine, this for August 1943.

Alberto Vargas (1896-1982) was arguably America's most famous 20th century pin-up artist being particularly known for his work for Esquire in the 1940-46 & then subsequently for his work for Playboy magazine 1959-75. Vargas' style of illustration inspired much of the nose cone artwork that appeared on USAF aircraft in WWII. These Esquire calendar pages are present tasteful images & area testament to 1940's style & fashion. They can be mounted & framed to great effect.

Tiny pencil annotation just under the month calendar & a few light marks but overall in good condition.
