Tarka The Otter

A large Vic Fair concept artwork (22"x 32") for Quad poster for "Tarka The otter" (1978).

As comparison with the printed Quad below shows, the artist captured the essential ingredients in the initial design though it was later further adapted. Even though only a "rough", the detail in the otter's face is impressive.

The artwork is mostly watercolour, ink & pencil on layout paper affixed to "Legion" artboard.The artist has "improved" the background to the upper right & right hand border with painted overlays which were affixed with sellotape.
