UK Quad cinema poster for drama "The Comedians" (1967).

A fabulous piece poster illustration for this 1967 film scripted by Graham Greene. Richard Burton plays a Welsh hotelier in Haiti who observes the descent of "Papa Doc" Duvalier's country into chaos. This was yet another opportunity to unite the superstar couple of Richard Burton & Elizabeth Taylor. Although set in Haiti, filming took place in Benin, West Africa. The poster artist remains unidentified.

Poster folded with a couple of edge nicks, single pin-hole to bottom rim, a small conservation tape repair to the lower central vertical foldline & writing to the reverse which does NOT show through. Overall in very good condition & displays to excellent effect.
