The Informers Poster

UK Quad poster in superb condition for the British crime thriller "The Informers" (1963) with some fabulous Putzu poster illustration.

This British film was made at Pinewood Studios & featured numerous London locations. Among the cast were stalwarts of the British acting profession including Colin Blakely, Harry Andrews, Frank Finlay, Roy Kinnear, George Sewell, Peter Bowles etc. The poster design features a newspaper background a device that fellow artist Chantrell sometimes used too. The seductive lady in the lower left corner sometimes appears fully clothed when this poster appears in the market, often indicating its use in the more conservative Irish market.

This poster is in superb condition, rolled with three vertical foldlines only & looks to have been un-used. A great example of Putzu's artistry, this poster was commissioned while Putzu was still in Italy, finally moving to work in London full-time in 1967.
