Drive Poster

A 2022 privately commissioned Alternative Movie Poster (24"x 36") for the Ryan Gosling-Carey Mulligan film "Drive" (2011).

This high quality 11-colour screenprint was created by Wolfgang LeBlanc. The poster is a good example of the high quality innovative printing that is associated with the Mondo/AMP scene. Printed on "Neenah Stardream Crystal Paper", the print has utilised both a hot pink flourescent ink & double spot gloss varnish on the title. Whereas vintage film posters were mass produced & designed to be thrownaway after use, Mondo/AMP's are printed in tiny numbers & involve the collaborative input of both the poster artists & highly skilled printers too. This poster has been hand-numbered.

The Mondo & associated Alternative Movie Poster (AMP) movement began in the early 2000's & represents a rejection of the "modern" photo-based design method of producing cinema posters. Mondos & AMP's are cinema posters created as art pieces. Generally these have not been made for film marketing purposes but instead are artistic re-interpretations of both classic vintage films & modern movies. Mondo/AMP posters are exceptionally high quality prints, released in strictly limited numbers (invariably sold out on release) & become instant collectables.

This poster has no discernible faults & is as close to mint as you will find (we handle these posters with proper conservation quality gloves in order to keep them as pristine as possible). The poster will be sent rolled with protective paper in a sturdy tube. This is a scarce poster & will NOT be discounted.
