The Longest Day Poster

UK Quad linen-backed FIRST release poster for the WWII epic "The Longest Day" (1962) the poster designed & illustrated by Tom Chantrell.

"The Longest Day" is one of the most collectable of all WWII genre cinema posters & this is the first release version (there is a second version of this poster used for a later re-release, which has Gert Frobe's name added plus Stuart Whitman & John Wayne's names reversed). Poster linen-backed but with limited restoration (three small fingernail infills to white rim & small restoration just above the name "Beymer"). A classic war film poster & a great example of Chantrell's stylistic range & innovative design.
