The Lords of Discipline

TWO Vic Fair prototype artworks for the 1983 military academy drama, "The Lords of Discipline" (painted onto a large sheets of white paper, the actual dimensions of the artwork only are 15"x 24" approx). Both pieces have some cut-outs added. Vic's fondness for the surreal is evident in both designs, the use of the colours of the "Stars & Stripes" featuring also in both designs.

Interestingly, the director of this American production was Franc Roddam, the screenwriter of "Quadrophenia" (1979) & perhaps better known these days as the creator of the hugely successful TV series "Master Chef".
