The Magnificent Seven Poster

UK Quad linen-backed cinema poster for "The Magnificent Seven" (1960).

This classic western was based on Kurosawa's film, "The Seven Samurai" (1954). The film boasted a stellar cast (Steve McQueen, James Coburn, Robert Vaughan, Charles Bronson etc) but surprisingly, at the time of its release, only Yul Brynner was an established Box-Office name. This is the first re-release version of the poster c' 1962-63 (lacking the blue tint to the upper sky of the 1960 first release poster). Other later re-releases have a reduced colour range.

Poster once folded with some tape marks to rim, minor paper loss lower left white rim & other light surface marks. Poster now linen-backed with issues minimised, no over-painting & displays very well (map chest 6)
