The October Man Poster

UK 1-Sheet cinema poster for the British film-noir "The October Man" (1947).

Starring John Mills & Joan Greenwood the film tells the tale of a young women murdered next door to a boarding house. John Mills plays a boarder who falls under suspicion having previously suffered from a mental illness. This taught thriller was helmed by Roy Ward Baker who later was to direct various films for Hammer & Amicus. This stone-litho poster features some lovely artwork (the image of Mills & Greenwood looks photographic but is actually an illustration).

Poster folded but subsequently rolled with two conservation repairs to splits on the mid-horizontal foldline (longest 2") & displays to very good effect. This is a scarce poster & the last one we are aware of surfaced in the market eight years ago.
