The Queen of Sheba Poster

UK Quad poster for the Italian "Sword and Sandals" film "The Queen of Sheba" (1953).

Such Biblical epics were popular in the 1950's & many made in southern Europe. The artist credited for this poster was (Fred) Payne. Payne was an interesting poster artist who developed a distinctive style later. He worked mostly for independent dustributors like Gala, Eros & Miracle.

Poster folded with some heavy creasing, rim marks, old tape to reverse & general wear but a scarce Quad title & a nice early example of Payne's work.
