The Shape Of Water Poster

A 2019 privately commissioned Alternative Movie Poster (24"x 36") for the Guillermo del Toro fantasy "The Shape Of Water" (2017).

One of just 40 created, this screenprint poster has a wonderful retro feel even though it is for a modern film. The poster was by the design team of Stan and Vince & the poster has been printed on a special pearlescent paper which contributes to the aquatic fantasy theme. The Quad poster (see the attached for reference) for the film has an attractive design though the critical plaudits arguably detract from the overall artistic effect. The Mondo & associated Alternative Movie Poster (AMP) movement began in the early 2000's & represents a rejection of the "modern" photo-based design method of producing cinema posters. Mondos & AMP's are cinema posters created as art pieces. Generally these have not been made for film marketing purposes but instead are artistic re-interpretations of both classic vintage films & modern movies. Mondo/AMP posters are exceptionally high quality prints, released in strictly limited numbers (invariably sold out on release) & become instant collectables.

This poster has no discernible faults & is as close to mint as you will find (we handle these posters with proper conservation quality gloves in order to keep them as pristine as possible). The poster will be sent rolled with protective paper in a sturdy tube. This is a scarce poster & will NOT be discounted.
