The Watcher In The Woods

Vic Fair concept artwork (11 3/4"x 15") for the Disney flirtation with the horror genre "The Watcher In The Woods" (1980) starring Bette Davis.

The printed Quad poster is similarly creepy but with a more developed composition. The Quad artwork (see image for reference) was illustrated by Brian Bysouth, a long term collabotrator of Vic Fair's (Fair providing the design & Bysouth the painted illustration). The Fair concept is paper on paper with pencil & pen/ink artwork, the "framing" being in black felt-tip & Fair has annotated the piece in the bottom right ("ROUGH "THE WATCHER IN THE WOODs"). This item is sold with a larger (13"x 19" approx) photo-mechanical version of the same artwork with a hole cut where the figure was positioned. These two items can be sent rolled in a tube.
