Wind In The Willows Poster

An interesting UK Quad cinema poster for Walt Disney's "The Wind In The Willows" (1949), this being a later "stand-alone" re-release, we believe dating from 1967.

This cartoon was originally released as part of the two story 1949 release of "The Adventures of Ichabod & Mr Toad". This subsequent re-release as "The Wind In The Willows", has been variously dated to either 1955 or 1987. We doubt the later date as the print quality, paper & terminology ("featurette") point to an earlier era. S & DS Ltd printers were an occasional poster printer & were one of the printers for "Zulu" in 1964. By the late 80's, printers details were not often included on posters. The "clincher" though is the BBFC "U" classification of the film which was granted in 1967.

Poster folded with slight markings to corners from tape to the reverse, a 2" conservation tape repair to bottom mid-rim & tack-hole wear to two corners. An interesting poster nonetheless & priced in accordance with condition (at the time of listing the London gallery price for this poster was £425).
