Whirlpool Poster

UK Quad poster for the British crime-drama "Whirlpool" (1959), the poster with great artwork by Nicola Simbari.

The film was made at Pinewood & on the Rhine so lots of great archive images of the Rhine in the 1950's. Simbari was one of the early Italian artists providing artwork for Eric Pulford & alongside this commercial work established himself in the fine art market too.

The poster has general creasing/pin-holes, edge nicks, foldline wear, edge chips & a few old tape repairs to reverse, the longest being a 2" tear to upper right. It is not perfect but still displays to striking effect & has been priced in accordance with condition.
