Straw Dogs Poster

UK Quad linen-backed cinema poster for the controversial Sam Peckinpah film "Straw Dogs" (1971).

Set in Cornwall the bookish Dustin Hoffman finds himself ostracised by the local community whilst his voloptuous wife (Susan George) has an affair. When things get out of hand and Ms George is gang raped, Hoffman flips and the revenge is bloody. The poster cleverly combines these constituent parts in an attractive design which still creates an air of foreboding.

Poster originally folded & now backed in excellent overall condition (very slight stain to lower mid-vertical foldline but this minor & unobtrusive). No restoration has been undertaken on this poster.
