Clash Of Loyalties Poster

Rare & unusual Arabic cinema poster (15"x 20") for the little-known Iraqi film Clash of Loyalties (1983) aka Al-mas' Ala Al-Kubra with poster illustration by Tom Beauvais.

Financed by Iraqi ruler Saddam Hussein, the film recounted the story of the formation of the Iraqui state in 1920. The film was made in both Iraqi & English versions but was seen only at a couple of film festivals in the West. Oliver Reed & James Bolam headed the western contingent of the cast (Reed was as expected a troublesome spirit during the shoot). An interesting Beauvais composition, the poster has been affixed to card which the artist has signed in pencil to the right border.

Poster mounted on card with a few edge nicks but overall in very good condition.
