Midnight Cowboy Poster

UK Quad poster for "Midnight Cowboy" (1969).

An iconic poster from the 1960's. "Midnight Cowboy" was Schlesinger's first Hollywood film. The film was penalised with an "X" rating, an act which normally meant commercial restriction but in a sign of the times, the shock publicity surrounding the film propelled it into the mainstream and to great success. "Midnight Cowboy" was the first "X" rated film to win the "Best Picture" Oscar!

Poster folded but looks to have been unused. There is some writing to the reverse which does NOT show through. There is some very fine white speckling on the black background which is how this poster was originally printed. This is only noticeable very close-up & does not affect the display potential of this piece. Poster overall in excellent condition.
