Modesty Blaise Poster

US 1-Sheet conservation paper-backed movie poster for the spy-spoof "Modesty Blaise" (1966).

A quintessential 1960's British film, this a spy-thriller spoof clearly influenced by the James Bond phenomenon (a bit like the US "Flint" series). In "Modesty..." starlet Monica Vitti is cast as the secret agent, Losey's film very loosely based on the comic-strip of the same name. The offbeat Pop-Art nature of the film reflected by Bob Peak's idiosyncratic artwork. The poster displays to superb effect.

Poster originally folded but now paper-backed. Prior to backing the poster was in fabulous near mint condition & appears to have required virtually no restoration (maybe the slightest of touch-in to the odd spot of foldline). You will be hard-pressed to find this poster in better condition.
