Planet of the Apes Poster

Interesting "Planet of the Apes" (1975) memorabilia, this being a poster (19 1/4"x 27 1/4") with illustration by Gerry Ball, licensed by 20th Century Fox & published buy the UK stationary/novelties firm, Jaycraft.

Five "Planet of The Apes" films were released (1968-73) & the franchise was further popularised by the CBS TV series which was broadcast in the UK in 1974. With such a popular phenomenon it was hardly surprising that merchandising initiatives like this by Jaycraft emerged. We have seen this "poster" also referred to as "wrapping paper", though the size suggests this is likely to have been designed more for use as a poster.

Item folded with some corner damage & a few small conservation tape repairs to the reverse.
