Rollerball Poster

UK Quad cinema poster for "Rollerball" (1975), produced by the celebrated poster artist, Bob Peak.

Peak's normal modus operandi when commissioned for a poster, was to visit the set in order to soak up the atmosphere and produce initial sketches. For "Rollerball", Peak spent 2 1/2 weeks on the set in Germany where the film was shot. He mixed freely with the cast and crew and frequented local hostelries after work with the cast in order to immerse himself in the atmosphere of the film. Peak's artwork for this film was later issued as a limited edition portfolio and was awarded an "Award of Merit" from the Society of Illustrators.

Poster folded but subsequently rolled & will be sent in a tube. Poster with some faint tape marks to rim & a tiny slither of paper loss to bottom mid rim but priced accordingly & overall good condition. For an idea of relative value, at the time of listing other examples of this poster were available in a London gallery & on Ebay for £900+.
