Saturday Night Out Poster

Scarce UK Quad poster for the Compton-Cameo film "Saturday Night Out" (1964).

Helmed by the "sleaze" merchants Michael Klinger & Tony Tenser this drama about one night's shore leave in London was an effort to diversify away from their more obvius exploitation fare. The supporting cast was an interesting mix of British acting talent including the likes of Vera Day, Magaret Nolan & Martine Beswick, David Lodge, Nigel Green, The Searchers & boxer Freddie Mills. To add to the commercial appeal of the film The Searchers contribution to the musical score was highlighted on the poster. This is a scare British 1960's Quad.

Poster folded with pin-holes to corners, a few edge nicks, writing to the reverse which does NOT show through, some crossfold wear & a Dutch censors stamp top right but overall in very good condition. Interestingly, the censors stamp & writing to the reverse indicates this poster was used in a cinema in The Hague.
