Silence of the Lambs Poster

Two scarce unfolded UK Double-Crown cinema posters (20"x 30" each) for the Oscar blockbuster "Silence of The Lambs" (1991).

The poster design presents separate images of Anthony Hopkins as "Dr Hannibal Lecter" & Jodie Foster as "Clarice Starling". Each character is shown with the Death's Head Hawkmoth covering their mouths. Interestingly although these moths have a "skull" like pattern on their heads, the poster designer Dawn Baillie has actually used a Salvador Dali photograph which depicts naked women in the photo. Given the subject matter of the film, this is even more fitting. The film was a huge commercial & critical hit, being nominated for seven Oscars & winning Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director & Best Screenplay Oscars!

Both posters unfolded, un-used with minor handling creases only & in superb condition. These DC's were printed in smaller numbers than the corresponding Quads & are therefore scarcer, especially when appearing together like this.
